Power comes from a reliable four-cylinder Vetus 42hp diesel engine (with 430 hours), cooled via a keel system and paired with a PRM 150 gearbox. With an approximate fuel capacity of 30 gallons, it offers good range for extended trips. The boat also benefits from practical construction details including ply cabin sides, polystyrene insulation, and a combination of top-opening and sliding windows, while wooden flooring with a cushioned overlay adds warmth and comfort underfoot.

Onboard services are well specified to support life away from marinas. Hot water is provided by a Rinnai gas boiler and calorifier, while a Puffin stove offers a cosy heat source. The electrical system includes both 12-volt and 240-volt supplies, supported by an 8kW pure sine wave inverter, one starter battery and three leisure batteries, plus three solar panels totalling 475 watts with a Renogy MPPT controller and Numax battery charger — ideal for off-grid cruising. Water storage is approximately 80 gallons, ensuring ample supply between fill-ups.

The accommodation layout is designed for practicality and comfort. The galley is fitted with a Voyager 4500 cooker and a 12-volt fridge/freezer, with a twintub washing machine located in the stern for convenience. Sleeping arrangements offer a fixed double bed that can be extended to a king-size, providing comfortable space for two. The bathroom features a pump-out toilet, vanity basin, and shower facilities, completing the living amenities. Additional extras include a cratch cover and side hatch with beautiful detail to the internal woodwork, adding to the boat’s usability and character.

Piston Broke has been well maintained, having been blacked in 2024, and holds a valid Boat Safety Certificate until 2028.
